Ramadan 2011

As the partner of a gay muslim this time of year is never easy for me! I am more then happy to accept the fasting, and as a good house man, food will be ready for breaking fast, looking after my Baby's needs.

But what about my needs? It was neither addressed before, nor now during Ramadan. And we're only in day 2. Frustations on my behalf arising fast with lighting speed and drink, which I have cut down to almost none - until today! I went out and got a little bit more of my favorite beverage......

Why did I do that?

Awwww, many answers apply, really, but let's cut it down. One reason is that I was in the mood for some porn and self love, but my HunnyBunny was home before his usual time, so that was cut out of the agenda - I may have to explain that I am ready to burst! Jaundice is recognisable by yellow tinted scleras, but have you have seen eyeballs filled with unreleased sperm????!!

Of course I could wait until breaking fast, but by then I have either lost interest or am far too sleepy and retire to bed - at my age I need a bit more sleep then he does!

He is a true muslim though, devot to his belief. I just wish sometimes he was that attention paying to the rest of life and its chores, like house duties, whenever, not just a Ramadan break, and without having to be asked! Not wait until you're almost forced to do something, just do it as need arises. But it seems to be generally easier to sit and wait until someone else does the vacuming, floor wiping, etc. Must be ones upbringing and I will not blame my Sweetheart for this at all! But he's in London now, so get on with it!

Am I bitter? Maybe now just a bit, usually not! I just don't know how long I am willing to keep this up..... Mind you, I have lost 1/2 kilo so far, as I am half fasting - sorry, but I need to drink to function in my job! And I have about 6 kilos to go.......

All I hope for is that my true love will remain my true love this Ramadan. It wasn't all roses last year and breaking fast meant for him also to roam around. Let's wait and see.....

Selamat Ramadan to all and everyone!

Pet Hates

Why do people throw rubbish where they walk, stand or pass by? Why do I see every day litter litter like chewing gum wrappers (not to mention the gum itself) and drink cans in hedges and other peoples front yards?

Why are some people just ignorant idiots with no decorum or respect for others? Most likely they don't even have respect for themselves....!!!!

Public rubbish bins are all around. Is it really too much to ask for to carry your litter a few steps with you? Or is it really necessary to leave your crap behind on public transport or put your dirty feet/shoes on seats?

I really hope that all those who are doing this getting their own back, especially in a brand new pair of trousers!!!! Hope you sit in something you can't get out!!!!!

Use bins! And brains! Keep the environment tidy for all to enjoy!

Man Flu

Awwww, sh*t, here goes!
Man Flu, the undefined expression for all male illnesses, from not feeling well via hangover to terminal ill.... Fact is that the female threshold is much higher, hence the male suffers accordingly!

Luckily enough, I just want to be left alone when sick or ill as I can't stand the pampering, being asked every few minutes if I need anything - just bloody leave me alone and let me die in peace and quiet!

However, I live with my partner and we also have a room mate, both are ill at the moment and neither of them seems to be phased that I am running errands for them, make chicken soup from scratch, fill their water or juice glasses and look after them!

Don't get me wrong, I will certainly not overdue it, I will leave them alone, but I have this mother hen instinct which makes me wanting to reassure them - well, and myself!

But somehow, up to a certain point I feel it's been taken for granted and that I do not like a bit! They both do say thank you though but I just don't get that feeling that what I do is really appreciated.

I left my partner to sleep it off, let him have all the rest he needs, topped up his drinks, had lemsip ready on the go, got him even antibiotics. The fever is down, he feels better, and guess what? I have vanished into the background of partner ship life once again, as soon as monsieur feels better I am kind of tossed aside...., he prefers the company of his lap top over mine! Jealous? Yes, a bit. A "thank-you-for-what-you-have-done" or "thank-you-for-all-you-do" or sometimes a little whispered "i-love-you" would do fine......
But his blog, FB, and various other sites and connections are always more important. Luckily, I have a big heart and love him very much.

One wants to be appreciated!

They are all in the house now, sneezing, coughing, retching, so I better go and make dinner..... a "mother's" tasks will never end! Wish, I could hide somewhere... But I will be missed as soon as someone wants something and I am not running and getting and bringing......

Frankly, I'm fed up! Someone, please see to my needs, give me a back rub, get me some flowers, fill up my glass once in a while.......

Le morale of la story? Enough is enough! Give me a break, boys! Get well and happy and let me have some rest too!

xxx

PS: the house mate just came home with flowers for me! That's nice!!! Eat your heart out, Lover!

Happy Holidays

I can't wait to go away for my holidays! Can you?

Me and my Prince are going to Malaysia in March/April this year! For him always an opportunity to catch up with friends and especially with his family, whilst I stay with friends and enjoy KL and we will be going to Pulau Tioman for a few days to have some beach time! Chill out time - I'm hoping for sex on the beach, but it will be most likely just the cocktail........ But one never knows...!?!

I hope to catch up with many friends myself, some I know face to face, some just simply through FB, but it would be great to meet some of them.

I did not travel to KL or the other parts of Malaysia last year, my work life was a bit upside-down for planning any holidays and it was more important to me that my significant other half spent his time in Malaysia any way he wanted and needed to, as it was his first time back since he moved to London and, of course, his family and Hari Raja was priority!

Now it's my turn! KL, here I come, then again, been there, done that, not many museums left to go too, and as I am not a shopaholic it can get a bit boring, I just don't want to waste all my time sitting at THAT Starbucks, watching the cute guys all day long........

Sure, I will spend as much time as possible with my darling friend Kaz and her family, I will go back to the botanical gardens and most importantly to Central Market, but I am really looking forward to spend quality time, meeting friends, have a laugh, eat and be merry!

Most importantly to me is that me and the significant other are going to Malaysia together, spend some time apart, but mostly share the time and holiday! We share a lot, we do our own stuff. It's great to be able to come back together and share and do things together, just like snorkeling, finding Nemo, being there for each other...... (my first ever snorkeling was a disaster! I panicked! He was there for me!!!!)

Anyone free free last week of March?first week of April? Give me a shout - male company preferred.....

Modern Times

Can you imagine a world without a mobile phone? Or cell phone as the american people call it?

I can. It's hard to believe nowadays that there was a time without PCs, laptops, touch screens, touch this and that, let alone a personal phone in ones pocket, and look around you now: has anything else conquered the planet as quickly?

When the vacuum cleaner was invented, who could effort it? And how amazing was it?! Does anyone give a damn about all the modern stuff we have and take for granted?!

I didn't have a mobile phone until 1996, and I still think that was early, so they had been around, following that "brick" some people had (show offs!). With the first mobiles came the annoying trip on the busses: around 15 people trying out ring tones at the same time, bing-bing here, tweet-tweet there and other repulsive noises; today we just download our favourite song and that's it!

My ringtone is the tune from "Charlie's Angels"!

Once this marvelous gadget was accessible and affordable to all there was no stopping for the industry, camera functions followed, we videoed and now we facebook and twitter like there's no tomorrow, we read books on the go and thanks to combinations we listen to music whilst we still shout into the phone....

This super gadget has taken over our lives! I do not want to miss my phone, but at least I can say with all honesty that I do not let it dictate my life! I know when to ignore it, I do not have to answer every single call, I do not miss out if I have not replied to a SMS within a second, for me it's all about how I deal with it....

Then again, I love my phone! If there would not have been iPhone, I had to invent it! It's made for me! Just like the Mac at home - and, praise to all, the iPad!

Just my kind of thing!

I still believe that the invention of the vacuum cleaner tops the invention of the mobile phone somehow.........
